THE MARKETS OF QUIMPER

♦ Les Halles Saint François

Opened in 1847 on the site of the former Saint-François convent, it is the best-known market in the heart of the city. The only covered market, it has won over its clientele by offering a wide range of high quality products. It is a very popular place for Quimper residents and tourists discovering Quimper and its region. There are various stalls selling local and regional products, as well as various take-away and on-site catering outlets.

  • From 1 April to 31 October :
    Monday from 7.00 am to 7.30 pm - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 5.30 am to 8.00 pm - Friday from 5.00 am to 8.00 pm - Saturday from 4.30 am to 8.00 pm - Sunday from 7 am to 1 pm
  • From 1 November to 31 March :

Marché de producteurs locaux place du 19 Mars 1962 (derrière la mairie)

Une quinzaine d’exposants de Locronan et des communes limitrophes (Plogonnec, Guengat, Quéménéven, etc.) sont présents. L’offre privilégie l’alimentaire (pain artisanal, viandes et fromages de pays), l’artisanat et le bien-être (savons bio Bulles de rose, miels et produits de la ruche du Temps DZ’Abeilles).
Moderne, le marché s’adapte aux nouveaux usages via la plateforme cagette.net, permettant de commander en ligne et de retirer ses achats sur place.
