THE VAUBAN, AN INSTITUTION TO DISCOVER
"The Vauban. A century of Brest history". The beautiful book born from the joint pen of Olivier Polard and Yan Le Gat is published today by Coop Breizh. One hundred and seventy-five pages to tell the story of a place and a Corsican family exiled to Brest, the Muzy family. A hotel, restaurant, brasserie, dance hall which is also a concert hall whose reputation has, for a long time, gone beyond the borders of the Ponant.
Christophe Miossec, Yann Tiersen, Jane Birkin, Didier Squiban, Dominique A. and a few others testify throughout the pages to their attachment to this mythical place, a Mecca of Brest culture if ever there was one. Numerous photographs tell this epic story.
"The Vauban. Un siècle d'histoire brestoise" is available from today at the Vauban and in all good bookshops in France.
