At the heart of Vivian Maier's preoccupations are the street scenes of New York and Chicago: she immortalizes in a fraction of a second snapshots of the lives of complete strangers, anonymous people with whom she shares a common destiny and humanity. Gestures, details, a look, a situation, nothing escapes her Rolleiflex which allows her to remain discreet. This exhibition will take you through the evolution of American society in the 50s, 60s and 70s.
