This gite is located in an old farmhouse (we have the Gites de France 3 épis label). In Vugit Vras - in the past - there was a manor house of which only a small 15th century turret remains. Originally, La Grande Boissière (Vugit Vras) was an ancient Gallo-Roman farmhouse, and we have renovated one of the buildings, which used to be called "la cave au cidre". We wanted to preserve the existing walls and openings. One of the walls is covered with a lime and hemp plaster. We have also fitted this building with large doors to allow access to the house for people with reduced mobility. In the main room, there is a kitchen area and a lounge area for conviviality.
The bathroom is spacious and equipped with a walk-in shower and toilet. The bedroom overlooking the garden is bright, equipped with a queen size bed and a chest of drawers for storing clothes and accessories. We have placed great emphasis on the quality of the bedding
A staircase leads to the mezzanine where there are two single beds.
You have a private terrace. You can have your meals there (a barbecue is at your disposal), rest while listening to the melodious song of the birds.
You can also take a walk in the vicinity or simply take a break in the shade of the apple trees.
Approximately two kilometres from the accommodation, you can access the towpaths that will take you to Quimper along the beautiful Odet River. You will have a magnificent view of the spires of Quimper cathedral. We have the possibility to put your bikes under cover for the duration of your stay.
This accommodation is easily accessible, less than 5 minutes from the centre of Quimper (10 minutes from the SNCF station), 5 minutes from Quimper-Pluguffan airport, 3 minutes from a mini-market and a bakery. We are on the road to the beaches (10 minutes from the sea). Our gite is at the crossroads of many tourist places (Pont l'Abbé, Penmarch, La Torche, La pointe du Raz, Locronan, Concarneau etc.).
